SKET Trailer Analysis
This trailer helped KJME Productions consolidate what we want our trailer to be about and the certain key features it should consist of.
VISUALS (EDITING & CINEMATOGRAPHY)
We are firstly introduced to various logos that were involved with the production of the movie for instance Revolver entertainment, Gun Slinger, Gateway films are just some of the companies involved, this is significant as it helps establish what the genre of the movie is before the trailer actually showing snippets of the film, for instance, Gateway Films is an independent London based production company and are specialised in producing crime and youth films.
This may also make the audience feel that movie is 100% British, so it's not an American production company producing a London/British based film.
We are next given an establishing shot of the scene, we can see that it is set in CBD London which is essentially the urban estates, in particular, shots of terraced flats and terraced houses. This is shown at night time so it can be used to create a particular effect that a crime might occur especially since most dangerous things happen at night and this is significant as dark black/gray colours are associated with danger, death etc.
Jump cuts are frequently used in this trailer, this is when different moments of the same scene is shot and embedded into one so it creates a sequence but it doesn't occur exactly in the order show, this helps create suspense and makes the audience why and how certain events occurred to that result so as a result, this will make them watch more.

MISE-EN-SCENE
The first scenes from the movie would make the audience believe that the movie is based on black male gangsters, due to the opening scene consisting a large group of black British men harassing a young white British female, she then witnesses an incident of where she sees another young female being harassed by her boyfriend, as she goes to stop it, she gets assaulted by him and therefore it results to her being killed.
This trailer shows that the actor performance changes depending on certain situations, for instance, the moment where the girl died, you could see that the young girl didn't help her, was due she was scared? However, later on during the trailer, we hear her mention about "Building out own empire" which shows that at some point the girls get their voice back.
The characters are all dressed casually, for instance, checkered shirts, hoodies, large hoop earrings; these are typical attires that you'll see teenagers/ young adults wear so it has some sort of realism to the trailer.

SOUND
At first, the background music is fast pace, this all adds suspense especially since the scene is set in the dark and also there is only one girl surrounded by lots of young men who are trying to talk to her, you can see how scary it is for her. The music also helps add tension in the scene where the male talks about
The beeping sound is effective as it links well with the montage, it shows how stressful it is for the main girl and it also shows how time is running out for the girls - so we as the audience see the main reason of the girls behaving the way they are.
The choice in music in general links really well to the genre and the setting in the movie - they're really fast and jumpy, this could connote to the audience that the girls are also really young since it doesn't use suspenseful music and therefore this will attract younger people to watch is as it has music that they're familiar with.
