Cartoon Effects

I am showing how I constructed character forms of the characters of our trailer, I wanted to create something different so I decided to create a cartoon form of the pictures we took just to challenge my ability of using photoshop.

Character Introductions

Here is a quick tutorial of how I achieved to make our character introductions, this did require a lot of research and practice as it took a total of 20 attempts to create the final outcome.

Editing: Shaniqua's Introduction

 By Elizabeth Ogunsola
A convention that most, if not all, gangster crime trailers conform to is the introduction of the gang members at the beginning of the trailer. This is in order to inform the audience that they are the main characters.
I used Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 to edit. The first thing that I did was create a bin full of all the shots that my team and I filmed with the intention of using them for Shaniqua's introduction.
I reviewed the different shots, using the razor tool to cut out the parts that I did not like.

Effects:
To place emphasis on a particular scene in Shaniqua's introduction that I found to be significant, I changed the speed of it 60%. This resulted in the clip becoming slower.
For Shaniqua's fight scene I added a dip to black video transition in each clip, which resulted in them fading to black. I really liked the overall effect of this.

I scaled all of the clips to frame size, unlinked the video and audio so that I could delete the audio as I intend to add music to it in the later stages of editing.
